Spring Break!.....Idaho Party! Party!

Logan eating Ribs at Goodwood in Boise on the way to Idaho Falls. He even admitted it was better than Burger King. Not that, that would be difficult. It was very good a favorite for the Sanders.

Caleb Douglas Bly was definitely the man of the hour. We had to all take turns, for "holding privileges".
Grandpa Sanders having a snuggle.

Caleb and "The big uncle" getting better acquainted.

Caleb with Grandpa and Grandma Long (they are "Great").

Grandpa and Logan making hats for humanitarian aid. Logan really liked doing this and Grandpa had him fixed up with equipment and instructions by the time we left on Tuesday AM. Thank you for making a great memory.

Grandpa, Logan and Bo. Logan and Bo have the same hair-do!
Maybe its cause they are both bird brains! He He He.

Grandpa Longs 70th Birthday Bash at Red Robin. Everyone who was close enough to come, came. Lots of fun and family.

We celebrated Cassie's Birthday as well. She and Grandpa have the same birthday. Caleb slept through the whole thing!

Spring Break! .... Utah! Party! Party!

Utah State Capitol Building newly renovated. We had a great self guided tour.

My two scary "lions".

Lunch at the Garden Restaurant overlooking Temple Square. What a view! And great smoothies!

Cousins: Logan, Braden, Jayden (all 12 yrs old) and Preston (age 11). All "Sanders" Boys!

Abigail's 1st Birthday. She is an angel. We loved sharing her special day. Thank you Marshall and Lanette for allowing us to enjoy your family for a little while.

Manti Utah Temple. It was gorgeous. Cold and snowy, but what a lovely scene. Last time I visited was 14 yrs ago with a Young Women's group to see the Pageant.

Bryce Canyon National Park. 19 degrees with blowing snow. I thought this was Spring break? The storm made the landscape completely different with the snow. I am glad we saw this, even if I froze. Bryce has always been one of my favorite places to see.

I think I have frostbite on my face. I was numb! And I was even wearing my nice warm "Spring break" Ha Ha coat.

Logan really liked Bryce National Park. I think its because it reminded him of (his hair). Sort of spikey.

Dennys Wigwam in Kanab. We visited their 15+ tears ago and bought a horseshoe with a ring puzzle. When we walked in on this visit they were on a rack by the front door. Logan found a shooting gallery that shot water at him when he hit the targets. He loved it.

Lions Park in Kanab Utah. Grandpa Sanders helped build this park with the Lions Club. Grandpa loved the Lions. He was actually at a Lions club meeting in Kanab when he died. It was nice to see the additions to the park. And a nice time to think about Grandpa.

Grand Canyon chartered flight. What a thrill
Our Pilot "Dick" turned us over to our co-pilot Logan as we soared over the beautiful Grand Canyon. It was downhill from there Literally! My stomach did a few flip flops. but thankfully Logan grew bored and turned us back over to "Dick".

It is unbelievably inspiring. It doesn't seem real, Overwelming.

I had been to the Grand Canyon before but WOW. I don't think you can even begin to fathom the magnitude of this place 290 miles long and 90 miles wide
This was a native Indian village in the bottom of the canyon. They bring everything in and out with horses.

Picture after we got off the plane. We don't look much worse for the wear. It was a once in a lifetime experience. The pilot told us they have greatly restricted air traffic over the canyon. We saw no other planes. We were very fortunate to get this chance.

Soooo worth it!

The road between Kanab and Zion National Park.
A herd of buffalo just before we got to Zions.

This was called the Checkerboard Mesa (Pretty self explanatory)
Zions National Park. We have been here before but we really spent time to see things this time. This was an Amazing Place. You must go!!!!!

Overlook trail Outlook. Yes- that is a "cliff" I am sitting next to. No- I did not look down. Yes- I moved away as soon as the picture was taken! It was very very beautiful. I am really glad we took the time to "chase Logan up the trail." A highlight!

You know Logan, Can't stay out of trouble for a minute! I told him 10 times to stay away from that rock. Then he goes and knocks it over!!!

The Three Patriarchs (Abraham, Issac and Jacob)

Cove Fort- Built by Ezra Hinckley. He was Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley's grandfather. Ezra was called by Brigham Young to take his family and go build a fort for the protection of the early travelers . He got the call and was on his way the very same day! Gordon's father Bryant grew up at Cove fort. This was the stop of point between Salt lake City and St George.

The Fort was run in a very efficient wy. he Hinckley's had 4 sons and 7 daughters. They all worked very hard. The Stage coach came through twice a day, and the mail. They had a telegraph office as well.

This was the Cabin (moved to this site from Coalville around 1994) that Bryant and his parents and siblings were living in when they received the call to go build Cove Fort. It was taken apart piece by piece and reconstructed at the Cove Fort site. Can you imagine living here with a family of thirteen?

We had a wonderful Spring Break! We saw many friends and family! Many beautiful places and new experiences. I was a little hard to come home. But Logan could hardly wait to go back to school (He loves homework) He He He!!!
P.S.
Logan Kept taking off. I figured out a way to get his attention (Brief

Abigail discovered i-dog. She was a little wary at first but she warmed up quickly.

To be "twelve" again!

Logan and Callan being "twelve". Friends who don't see each other very often now. They picked right up- from 8 months ago. I hope they will find a way to "stay in touch" wherever they are. And find a way to "stay twelve" wherever they are in life!

Knibee Ranch San Antonio

Skeet shooting. We were all pretty lousy! But it was fun.

Trail ride at the Knibee Ranch. It had been a long time since I had ridden, and I got a little saddle sore! My horse's name was Rodney. Kelly's horse was Tequila!

The ranch breeds a special kind of cattle called Tiger stripe. They were really striped, They also had the long horned brama bulls.

Kelly talking with a professional roping, gun twirling, sweet talking Texas Cowboy. He put on a great show for us while we ate a fantastic barbecue lunch.

What a joke! I was awful, But I kept trying till I shot one of those orange frizbee things. (Yes I know they aren't frizbees but they sort of look like them)!
