Last night was our ward "Trunk or Treat". We had a wonderful hour of silliness! About 20 car/pickup/vans participated. We actually has a haunted van (all the seats removed). Some people went all out! A lot of cute ideas represented. We had our jeep full of fall leaves and 6-7 pumpkins some were jack-o-lanterns, it was cute. Dads car was spiders/bats and a "skull" (alas poor Yorik, I knew him, Horatio).
I found a hat and was a cowgirl, Logan was Scary cape man/Dracula, Dad was a Utah Jazz fan, cap, sweatshirt and waving his huge Jazz Flag. He made all the trunk or treaters who came to his car yell "Go Jazz" before they got any candy. Their were a few fathers who refused to allow their children to stoop to such a level (mostly Blazer fans).
We had a huge turnout. I guess people like to dress up and act silly. I had a good time but was glad to have it over!!!!
I don't have to be in charge of anything for a few weeks now. Yah

Jack o lantern Home Evening

Tonight we are carving our Halloween pumpkins! We are getting ready for the Trunk or Treat on Wednesday eve. Logan and I have been researching ideas. We found some good ones.
I am going to dress up as a cowgirl, if I can round up a hat. Several people at work had hats but I am a little hesitant to use them since theirs are the real thing, manure included. I was also offered chaps and spurs....... Maybe I should be a princess instead.
I hope you all have a great Halloween experience. I think Abi is going to be as a angel/butterfly, Caleb a soccer player and Walter a minnow! lol
Logan is going as Dracula, or Paris Hilton (with Max as Pa Pee from the Beverly Hills Chiwawa, what an appropriate name for a chiwawa) he is not sure which one yet!!!! We will get pictures of whatever he ends up being. Dad is going as well. Any suggestions for his costume?

"For the Blogoholic"
Ok- Mrs. Bly admitted that she was a "blogoholic". I guess its genetic cause I really like to check my favorite's list as well. I have been so busy lately that I missed a few days, so today was catch up. Thanks to all the regulars who update often. I always leave with a smile.
I saw a great book today at work it was just a cute little book called: The Pig Of Happiness. If you ever get the chance- its worth it!

The war is on:)

Logans Blog entry!!!!
Since Mom wont let me have my own blog I have decided to take advantage of hers. I am trying to get Mom to put pictures on here. I would like to say some thing while I am on here. I am not afraid of the Abigail alliance. Because the big uncle has just added a chapter to the Big Uncle Rule Book. Which says "that all baby organizations will not be allowed". I will also be making a Bigger Uncle Rule Book just for Abigail, Caleb, and Walter so be prepared little Abigail you do not know what you and your cousins are up against! mwahahahaha.

Apples to Applesauce-
What a great fall day! I woke up early and washed "lots" of jars. Last Wednesday I went apple picking and picked about 12 big boxes of gorgeous golden delicious apples. I gave about 2/3 of them away and plan on making applesauce today. I am going to dry some as well. I like this time of year. I get in that baking, make soups and stews and quilting mode. Today its "applesauce"!!!
Maybe a pie!!!

Fall Camporee by Kelly
Logan and I had a nice weekend camping at the fall camporee at Bing Canyon. It was a cold crisp fall night and day but the boys had a great time and Logan got to associate with 6 other boys of similar age. He was more worried about having fun than getting advancement, but that's OK and he did do some of both. They had a blacksmith there who taught the boys about heating and shaping metal. Logan made a fork out of half of an old horseshoe. He was proud of his creation. We also threw tomahawks and shot arrows at the archery range. This afternoon we competed in a pioneering competition and race, Our boys are young and still have some learning to do but they each had a great time. Logan is worn out and went to bed tonight at 8 pm. I was going to take some pictures but the camera had dead batteries so you will have to use your imagination. I'm tired also but am glad to be back home with my good wife and a warm bed.
